1. Introduction
Beegee is a web-based rental platform that connects
users who wish to rent out personal items (“Listers”) with users who wish to rent
those items (“Renters”).
Beegee operates as a neutral intermediary platform only and does not own, store,
inspect, or physically handle any listed items.
By accessing or using Beegee, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility
- Beegee is intended primarily for university students.
- Users must be at least 15 years old to use the platform.

By using Beegee, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into
agreements under Nigerian law.

Beegee reserves the right to restrict or terminate accounts that provide false
age or identity information.
3. User Accounts & Verification

All users must create an account and complete mandatory verification before any
action can be taken on the platform.
- Verification may require:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Student ID card or school clearance
- National Identification Number (NIN)
- Matric number
- Hostel address
- Clear personal photograph

Beegee does not request BVN, and users are advised never to share their BVN with
anyone.

One individual is permitted only one account. Multiple accounts are strictly
prohibited.

Accounts with false or mismatched verification data will be rejected or
permanently deleted.
4. Platform Role & Disclaimer

Beegee does not inspect, verify, or guarantee the condition, quality, legality,
or safety of any item listed.
- All rentals are conducted at the user’s own risk.

Beegee does not participate in physical meetups or item exchanges.

Responsibility for inspecting items before and after rental lies solely with
the users involved.
5. Listings & Prohibited Conduct

Users are responsible for ensuring that listed items are lawful and safe.

Beegee reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms
without prior notice.

Beegee may introduce prohibited item categories in the future.
6. Payments, Fees & Escrow

All payments are processed through a third-party payment processor
(Flutterwave).
- Beegee holds rental payments in escrow until:
- The Renter confirms item return, and
- The Lister confirms order completion.

Failure by either party to confirm completion will result in no release of
funds.

Beegee charges a fixed 20% service fee per transaction. This fee is
non-negotiable and will not change.
- Minimum withdrawal amount is ₦3,000.
7. Cancellations & Refunds

Renters may cancel an order only by contacting Beegee support before the rental
is completed.
- Approved cancellations receive a full refund.

Listers may cancel accepted orders only by contacting support.

If an item is not delivered, the renter is eligible for a refund processed
within 48–72 hours.
8. Late Returns & Penalties
- Late returns incur a ₦500 per hour late fee.
- Late fees may be automatically deducted from user balances.
- If balance is insufficient, manual payment is required.

Failure to settle late fees within two (2) weeks will result in account
suspension or permanent ban.
9. Non-Return, Theft & Enforcement
- Failure to return rented items may result in:
- Account suspension or permanent ban
- Denial of future access

Beegee may cooperate with relevant authorities and use verified user data for
recovery or legal action.

Users banned for theft or fraud will not be permitted to create new accounts.
10. Insurance & Compensation

Beegee maintains an internal reserve fund, not a third-party insurance policy.

Compensation for losses is discretionary, subject to review.
- Maximum compensation cap is ₦30,000 per item.

Beegee is not liable for losses caused by user dishonesty.
11. Disputes
- Beegee has final authority in dispute resolution.
- All disputes must first be submitted to Beegee support.
- These Terms are governed by Nigerian law.
12. Account Security
- Password resets may temporarily use the user’s matric number.
- Users must change their password immediately after login.

Beegee is not responsible for losses arising from user negligence.
13. Suspension & Termination
- Beegee may permanently ban users for:
- Theft
- Fake verification
- Abuse of platform

Users will be notified prior to suspension where reasonably possible.
14. Expansion & Modifications
- Beegee may expand beyond Bingham University.

Sponsored listings, ads, and new features may be introduced.

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
